Profile
Masahiro Kimura received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in mathematics
from Osaka University, Osaka, Japan, in 1987, 1989, and 2000, respectively.
In April 1989, he joined Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT),
Tokyo, Japan.
From April 1989 to August 1994, he worked at NTT Human Interface Laboratories,
Kanagawa/Tokyo, Japan, where he was engaged in computer graphics research.
From September 1994 to Janurary 2000, he worked at NTT Communication Science Laboratories,
Kyoto, Japan,
where he was engaged in neural networks research.
From February 2000 to September 2001, he worked at NTT-ME Corporation, Tokyo, Japan,
where he was mainly engaged in developing the 401k system
of Japan Investor Solution & Technologies Co.,Ltd. (JIS&T).
Since October 2001,
he has worked at Emergent Learning Research Group,
Intelligent Communication Laboratry,
NTT Communication Science Laboratories,
Kyoto, Japan,
where
he has been engaged in complex systems research.
He is a member of the Mathematical Society of Japan,
the Japanese Neural Networks Society,
the Japan Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, and
the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers.
