MACC'97 Session: Multiagent and Groupware/Communityware
this system is that it obtains user profiles automatically using information published on the WWW; it provides a customized view for each user by a personal agent; and a user can broadcast messages to relevant people using the provided view. We also describe a method where each agent learns the appropriate weights of keywords that represent user profiles by using user feedback. It is shown that agents can speed up this learning process by communicating the results they learned with each other. The effectiveness of the developed methods is shown by experimental evaluation.
