Visualization of Scientific Data

Visualized parameters are the result of computer simulation of quasi-unidimensional unsteady flows of reacting gas in shock tunnels while conducting experiments concerning the delay time of inflammation and detonation of explosive gas mixtures.

The volume of received data is so large that traditional visual analysis of tabular forms becomes impossible. It is necessary to create a convenient and expandable visualization system that would make it possible to evaluate the evolution of every parameter of such a flow in time base in isometric projection.

To develop the applications of research visualization and mathematical modeling we propose to use an object-oriented system named OpenMV (Open Modeler & Visualizer) that includes a set of basic class libraries for the description of data and algorithms as well as a unified interface required for described data presentation.

The proposed visualization software makes it possible:

  • To analyze the received data in a convenient way and to operate it flexibly.
  • To expand the system in the future.
  • To integrate it with other applications.
