He received a bachelor's degree in engineering and a master's degree in informatics from Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan in 2000 and 2002 respectively. In 2002 he joined NTT Corporation, and he works at NTT Communication Science Laboratories.
He currently works on statistical machine translation. On October 2011, he entered Graduate School of Informatics, Kyoto University as a PhD student (supervisor: Prof. Tatsuya Kawahara). He is a member of the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL), the Association of Natural Language Processing (ANLP), the Information Processing Society of Japan (IPSJ) and the Acoustical Society of Japan (ASJ).
