Many researchers have been interested in non-trivial properties of complex systems and their applications in engineering. The characteristics of such disordered statistical systems, however, can not be easily captured from the mathematical point of view. That's why I make use of the concepts and techniques developed in the field of statistical mechanics, so as to well-describe the typical behaviors of this kind of system. According to my recent results, the Shannon theory, which provides a theoretical basis for computer science, has been proved to be highly consistent with the theoretical physics. I'm now trying to study collective behavior and resulting trade-offs in sensing and communication. Also, I'm very much interested in ideas and concepts in noncooperative game theory.
