Aims and scope of the symposium
Independent Component Analysis (ICA) and Blind Source Separation (BSS) are emerging techniques for signal/image processing and data analysis.

ICA2003, the fourth international meeting in the series, will be hosted in the Nara New Public Hall, Japan. The ICA2003 will be held from April 1-4, 2003 just before the ICASSP2003 (April 6-10, Hong Kong).

ICA2003 will feature the latest developments in the new field of ICA and blind source separation. The Symposium will feature internationally respected keynote speakers, poster sessions, and oral presentations on theory, development of new algorithms and applications to a wide range of fields and data types.  The Symposium recreational program includes an informal banquet and a unique opening cocktail party in beautiful city NARA - the old capital of JAPAN.
Scope of the ICA2003 includes (but is not limited to) the following areas:
1.  Independent Component Analysis and related areas like factor analysis, principal/minor component analysis, etc.
2.  Blind Source Separation
3.  Blind and semi-blind equalization and deconvolution
4.  Blind identification
5.  Applications, especially in communication, speech, biomedical signal processing, image processing, data mining, finance, etc.
