- Abstract
We propose a new approach to text analysis, in which incremental
analysis is realised by viewing text analysis as concurrent constraint
optimisation problem solving. Multiple agents work concurrently
and cooperatively to solve the constraint optimisation problem.
Links representing dependency and correferentiality relations between
two words are considered as the agents. Every time a word is inserted
or deleted, the agents holding the prioritised constraints is relevant
to the words are either generated or removed. We have applied this
model to an analysis of dependency and correferentiality in Japanese
texts.
