- Abstract
It is desired to construct a mechanical system that works for a long
time without any human support. But it is usually considered to be
difficult to make the decentralized self-organizing autonomous system
fault tolerant. In this paper, we propose to apply the theories of
self-diagnosable systems for computer networks to this problem. As an
example, we apply the highly structured one-step t-permanent fault
diagnosable system, proposed by one of the authors (T. Kohda), to a
decentralized self-organizing autonomous robotic system that makes up
a circle. The result of simulation shows the usefulness of the
proposed method.
