Call for Submissions

Submission guidelines are as follows. PDF version is available here.

Submission deadline: September 30 (23:59 PST), 2007
Notification of acceptance/rejection: November 30, 2007
Final version of extended abstracts: December 20, 2007
Early registration: December 20, 2007

The workshop will consist of invited talks, contributed talks, and a poster session. Contributors can choose a preferred presentation type from gOral onlyh, gPoster onlyh, or gOral or Posterh. A submission of the gOral or Posterh type will be reviewed as an oral presentation and if it is not accepted as an oral presentation, it will then be reviewed as a poster.

Authors of accepted papers for oral presentations or a poster session should prepare a final extended abstract (at most two pages on A4 paper using at least 11-point fonts) to be included in the workshop abstract book. Please submit the abstract by December 20, 2007. The format is the same as the format for oral/poster submission.

Submission for Contributed Talks

Contributors are asked to submit a paper presenting original and unpublished research results. The paper
  • must not exceed 10 pages on A4 paper using at least 11-point fonts,
  • must be in PDF or PostScript format,
  • must include the title of the paper, author's names, affiliations, a short abstract summarizing the results, and references.

If the authors believe that more details are essential to substantiate the main claims, they may include a clearly marked appendix that will be read at the discretion of the program committee. Simultaneous submission of papers to any other conference with published proceedings or submitting previously published papers is not allowed.

Submission for a Poster Session

Contributors are invited to submit an extended abstract, which
  • must not exceed two pages on A4 paper using at least 11-point fonts,
  • must be in PDF or PostScript format,
  • must include the title of the paper, author's names, affiliations, a short abstract summarizing the results.

Submission Procedure

All submissions must be made electronically through the online submission system (http://www.easychair.org/TQC2008/) by September 30 (23:59 PST), 2007. Please read our Privacy Policy before submitting your manuscript.

Outstanding Paper Award: Submissions will be considered for this award which recognizes a paper of exceptionally high quality

Correction/Withdrawal of Submitted Manuscripts

You can update or withdraw your submission during the open period. There will be no extension after the deadline.

Peer Review

All submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by the Program Committee. Notification of acceptance/rejection will be sent via e-mail by November 30, 2007. Please note that presenters not registered by the early-registration deadline (December 20, 2007) will have their submission automatically withdrawn. On-line registration will be available at the TQC web site in December 2007.

Post Proceedings

A selection of accepted papers for oral presentations will be published in the post-proceedings by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series.
