Research Objectives

Towards building creative multi-media communication environment, we are working on system science and technology, which enables systems to grow and evolve, by introducing the concept and ideas of Artificial Life and Evolutionary Computation. Especially, we are aiming to create evolving computers which will be rich in autonomy and creativity, and to establish "KANSEI" technologies which will activate and support creative multi-media communications based on a local community. Also, biologically-inspired information processing mechanisms and a new hardware technology integrated with information have been studied.
