Ryuichiro Higashinaka was born in 1976 in Osaka, Japan. He received a bachelor's degree in Enviromental Information and a master's degree in Media and Governance and a Ph.D. degree from Keio University, Kanagawa, Japan, in 1999, 2001, and 2008, respectively. In 2001, he joined Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) as a researcher. His research interests include utterance understanding and generation in practical spoken dialogue systems. He is a member of the Information Processing Society of Japan (IPSJ) and the association for Natural Language Processing. He was a visiting researcher at the University of Sheffield from Nov. 2004 to Mar. 2006. From 2006 to 2008, he was a part-time lecturer at Osaka Electro-Communication University. From 2010, he is a part-time lecturer at Keio University. |
