Welcome to Open House 2025

Recently, the impact of abnormal weather events and large-scale natural disasters has been accelerating worldwide, along with profound changes in the global socioeconomic landscape, including significant shifts in economic policy and the rapid commoditization of generative AI. These factors are becoming ever more intertwined and interdependent, resulting in swift and often unpredictable transformations in our planetary environment and social structures. In this age of uncertainty, there is a growing need to not only understand the intrinsic value hidden within increasingly complex and diverse information but also to uncover the core principles behind how we, as humans, arrive at decisions and take action in response to information and the manner in which it is conveyed. We at NTT Communication Science Laboratories are committed to pursuing fundamental research and development aimed at achieving “communication that reaches the heart” among people as well as between people and machines. By examining information and people deeply, we seek to pioneer new platform technologies that connect the two seamlessly. Open House 2025 will be held under the theme “Orchestrating our future through the symphony of knowledge.” Towards forging a sustainable and more prosperous society through collaboration with researchers and stakeholders from a broad spectrum of academic and industrial fields, we are pleased to announce that, as with last year, the event will take place at NTT WEST’s open innovation facility QUINTBRIDGE and the adjacent PRISM in Kyobashi, Osaka. Through lectures, exhibits, and demonstrations conducted by our researchers, we hope to convey our latest research findings in an accessible manner. All of us at NTT Communication Science Laboratories sincerely look forward to welcoming many of you to Open House 2025. We hope you will join us in exploring the newest innovations and exchanging ideas that will help shape a brighter, more sustainable future.
