Abstract

Recent developments in induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) have enabled the generation of Organoids—artificial 3D multicellular structures that hold great promise for personalized medicine, drug testing, and regenerative medicine. However, fully replicating the complex structure and function of actual human organs remains a significant challenge, even with state-of-the-art tissue engineering. To bridge this gap, we are pursuing "Digital Organoid" research that leverages information-processing technology to enhance biological models. In this talk, we introduce our latest progress across three scales: cellular differentiation, multicellular patterning, and the simulation of organ-level functions based on tissue data.
