What's new

Greeting from the Vice President , Head of CS Labs.

Takeshi Yamada, Director, NTT Communication Science Laboratories

Recently much attention has been focused daily on technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and IoT. The NTT Group is focusing on corevo, which is the NTT Group's AI technology brand name. The brand name expresses our desire to innovate together with others through collaboration (“collaborative revolution”). It also means to create societies in which computers and human beings live and evolve together. By developing technologies that can take over or assist with certain human activities, corevo aims to become an AI that keeps company with people, lives closely and comfortably with them, and enhances their daily lives.
NTT Communication Science Laboratories is making efforts to carry out fundamental leading-edge research with the ultimate goal to achieve communication that “reaches to the heart” between persons or between persons and computers. The fundamental theories and innovative technologies that we create here lie close to the essence of human beings and information. They are our maps and compasses for the future, and they will become the foundation of corevo.
"Open House 2018" will introduce you to our latest research achievements in an easily understandable form, with lectures and exhibits on everything from machine learning, media processing, and natural language processing to sports brain science. I hope this event will be an opportunity for all of you to experience setting sail on an exciting intellectual voyage in search of unexplored lands. I and all our staff here have been looking forward to your visit, and we welcome you from the bottom of our hearts!

Takeshi Yamada, Vice President,
Head of NTT Communication Science Laboratories
