He received the B.S. degree in environmental information from Keio University in 2001, the M.S. degree in arts and sciences from the University of Tokyo in 2003, and the Ph.D. degree in informatics from Kyoto University in 2008. He is currently a researcher at Learning and Intelligent Systems Research Group of NTT Communication Science Laboratories, Kyoto, Japan. His research interests include data mining, machine learning, information visualization, and recommender systems.
